What is SynCat?
- The tuition-free, two-year MSc program offers a focused, challenging and international education in the field of modern chemical synthesis and catalysis.
- The program is completely taught in English. Graduates will be equipped with the C1 level of technical English.
- The modules are designed as a synergistic combination of theory (advanced lectures and seminars) and practice (individual lab projects and research internships).
- The curriculum includes a stay abroad for two month to visit a laboratory and take part in its research.
- The program is the only course in the field of chemistry to be funded by the Elite Network of Bavaria.

If you have successfully graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry (or Biochemistry, or in a Chemistry-related subject) with excellent grades and wish to expand your knowledge of the molecular sciences, then the SynCat program is the perfect match for you. The selection process involves several stages. Initial application screening will take into account your degree transcript and extracurricular activities. Subsequent stages will assess your approach to a chemical problem and, finally, your performance in an interview with SynCat professors.
